Polaroid iZone

February 17th, 2009 No comments

A few years back I bought a Polaroid iZone instant camera. It took little instant photos, that you could use as stickers. After about four rolls of film and about 14 cat photos, I got rid of it. It was just too much money for the little photos.

The Chicago Tribune had a story about British chip company making a Cajun Squirrel flavored potato chip. I will pass on trying those.

Old School Cell phone Ad

If you had a cell phone in the early 90s, it was probably a Motorola. I never had this model, I got the slightly slimmer model. It had an 8 character alphanumeric screen.

25 Random Things About me – Part 4 of 5

16) I am probably connected to the internet for over 14 hours a day. Sometimes more if I fall asleep on my laptop.

17) For some odd reason, I have way too many pens. I really only use extra fine tipped ones.

18) over ten years working at a High School, and I still don’t know the bell schedule. I only know when the first and last bell ring.

19) I refuse to buy digital media. I will be sticking with DVDs, and CDs.

20) I tend to have a “copious” amount of notes.

I need a Curve 8900 Now

February 12th, 2009 1 comment

The countdown to a new Blackberry started this week. We will be getting some of the new Curve 8900s, for “testing”. It looks like this phone should be a huge upgrade over the 8320.  The only real flaw is the lack of 3G. Probably not a big deal, beacause T-mobile it just getting started with a 3G network.

The first thing I want to try with the phone is restarting it. The current curve takes forever to reboot.

Here is the Cnet Review

It is a really good time for me to get this phone. My current curve, stopped working with our email servers. It took a few hours to fix, but I lost everything on it. It also does not want to work with my yahoo account anymore.

Cartoon of Me

This came from a poster for the North Halsted Market Days. It really looks like a Cartoon of Me. I think the only difference, is that I have square frames.

25 Random Things About me – Part 3 of 5

11) I am left Handed.

12) Love playing video games, but they tend to not be violent enough for me.

13) Did a lot of collecting when I was younger. Now I have tons of crap I would like to get rid of. I think they used my old bedroom as a set for the 40 Year Old Virgin movie.

14) I have the ability to recognize D-level actors in commercials and TV shows.

15) I now find it difficult to not be sarcastic. This can be a problem when I am talking to somebody that does not get sarcasm.

The Office – Creed Bratton

February 8th, 2009 No comments

I like that Creed Bratton on the office plays a fictionalized version of himself.
They were both members of the Grass Roots.
Wikipedia covers both versions.
