For the past few months I have been working on scanning in all of my old photos. I bought a HP scanjet G4010 scanner for the this project. It only took me about about 30 hours of research before purchasing it. I tend to overdo research for anything I buy. All of my research showed me that it probably did not matter what I bought.
So far it has done a really good job with the photos, but it can be a little slow. I can’t really blame the scanner, it is looks like any scanner would be about the same speed. I tried a $3000 epson scanner, and it was not any faster. After scanning about 300 photos, I feel like have all of the settings mastered. I was just able to scan in some really dark photos, and make them look pretty good. I will post some before and after shots.
My goal is to finish scanning in the last two boxes of photos in the next few of months. I would say that is a conservative estimate. After this is done, I never want to see a film camera again.
Here are a few of the twitter tools I use the most.
For the Blackberry I have been using Twitterberry. The current version is .08. I just upgraded to it from version .06. Using the blackberry browser to twitter is slow. This app gives you a direct connection for updates.
For the Desktop, I use TweetDeck. It is an Adobe Air application and still in a really early beta. I really like how you can customize it to show all of your twitter groups.
For finding who to follow, I use Mrtweet. They show you why you should be following people following you, and who the people you follow are following. Is everybody following that?
Just set up a Mint.com account today. It really only takes a few minutes, and pulls in all of your financial information.
I have way too many charts and graphs to look at now.
Just installed the twitter counter plugin. The setup only took a few minutes. It actually took me longer to find the settings. I was looking in the wrong spot.
Just finished installing WordPress 2.7 on my site. My hosting company has a default blog that uses wordpress, but they don’t give you any control over it.
